They doxxed the jurors, after the judge ruled they would remain anonymous. That's huge, and should be enough on it's own to warrant overturning the verdict and retrying. But we'll see what happens, I do not believe we live under the rule of law any longer.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Tim Pool is correct. What's the point of being a police officer when you can no longer murder handcuffed people in public and get away with it? They'll have to find employment with Blackwater if that is what they want to keep doing.

en masses? His stupid winter hats in L.A. should resign en masse. Cops should be happy a wanton criminal is off the streets. Of course Chauvin will appeal and the lawmakers commenting before the verdict was a bad idea. The worst idea in all of this was Chauvin sitting on a man for nearly 10 minutes. That's where it went wrong.

"any longer"?

As if it was intact before this? I'd say cops routinely executing black people in broad daylight and getting away with it was a bit of a problem...

Politicians will politic, but in a way this touches on issues that are bigger than the usual brewhaha, so they should really try harder to act like serious people imo. I don't know if a politician shooting there mouth off now is actually grounds for appeal tho - unless it can be shown that it may have influenced sentencing - and whatever the sentence some people are going to be very vocal about it not being enough and some about it being too much.

On review, I've watched Biden's statement and didn't think it was controversial. Basically acknowledging the verdict, the protests, and piggybacking a bit of promotion for the policing bill on the back of it. he certainly wasn't going in for any of that, "Send him to the chair!" stuff.

Yep, and it's been getting worse for decades, this is just a new low on the judicial side of the equation. The "intervention" of the President of the U.S. was beyond the pale, as was doxxing the jurors in defiance of a judges order. If I ignore a judges order I end up in jail.

How hard was their decision, really? If there's a good reason for kneeling on a cuffed guy's neck till he dies, I haven't heard it. :dunno:

Yeah, it's pretty straightforward, really...

And pardon my ignorance, but what does "doxxing" mean in this context?

They haven't released their actual names, but biographical information and results of confidential jury questionnaires were printed in a local newspaper, the Star Tribune. Here's an example
A white man in his 20s. He’s from Minneapolis and works as a chemist. Because of his profession, he said, “I consider myself a pretty logical person…I rely on facts and logic and what’s in front of me. Opinion and facts are important distinctions for me.” He said he has a generally favorable view of the Black Lives Matter movement but added that “I think all lives matter equally” and that the “Blue Lives Matter” message among police advocates is a counter viewpoint that isn’t necessary. He has not viewed the bystander video of George Floyd’s death. He has visited 38thand Chicago where Floyd was killed because he and his fiancé considered moving to the area.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I didn't realize their names and addresses weren't released. Not as bad as I thought, in a city the size of Minneapolis, but I wouldn't want it done with my data.

If their names and addresses haven't been released, they haven't been doxxed.

That's my understanding of the term, but since my only knowledge of the term came from Seth, I wasn't sure I had it right.
