Social distancing is far more important as is ventilation.
Fairy data. Where's your scientific evidence for this?
If anecdotal evidence is acceptable, I'll admit that I shamelessly flout the regulations on the way between my home and my usual bar (about 100 m in an area where you have to do it on purpose not to maintain distances with people), and I've yet to catch anything... I'll add that while the majority does go masked, more or less well, I'm far from a lone figure to show the world my face.

No, that's wrong. It's actually dependent on moustaches. Cities with higher moustache counts had lower infections. Where's your scientific evidence proving this wrong?!
Mebbe but...

It is due to Mink farming.
Covid-19 ends Dutch mink farming

AMSTERDAM

ANIMAL-RIGHTS activists often complain that cute beasts get more sympathy than equally deserving ugly ones. If so, one would think a cuddly critter like the mink would be easy to protect. Yet in the Netherlands, mink are the only animal that can still legally be farmed for their fur. That is about to change. On August 28th the government brought forward to March a ban on mink-farming that had been scheduled to take effect in 2024. The timetable was sped up not because mink had become more adorable, but because they can contract covid-19 and spread it to humans.

I still believe the problem is Catholics. All the worst hit countries have a lot of Catholics. Even in Germany, the worst hit parts are the Catholic South and West. Don't mention the UK. Anglicans are basically Catholics that can't cook.

Damn!
:sulk: Another theory disproved. :sulk:

...but wait. I have a brilliant idea. Why don't you get a mask that looks exactly like your beard and 'tache, made from the finest Dutch mink - then nobody will know when you're wearing it.
You may thank me later for my good advice.

COVID-19 dogs are set to soon begin working at Helsinki Airport (HEL). The dogs’ sensitive noses are expected to speed up the process of identifying those infected with the COVID-19 virus. The city of Vantaa believes that the dogs will be an efficient method of ensuring health and safety at airports.

Director of Helsinki Airport, Ulla Lettijeff, from Finavia, said: “The pilot that will be kicked off on 22 September 2020 is unique and a world first. No other airport has attempted to use canine scent detection on such a large scale against COVID-19. We are pleased with the city of Vantaa’s initiative. This might be an additional step forward on the way to beating COVID-19.”

UK coronavirus live: Scotland goes further than England in banning household visits from tomorrow

From the sublime to the ridiculous. Is every house going to have a guard? These type of measures really help public confidence. Open season for snitchers.

The only thing Sturgeon is thinking about is doing a slightly better job than Johnson - which is hardly difficult at the moment.
