Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state

Cooper recalled Trump running in 2016 on "the idea that he was going to fight for people that no one else was fighting for" while he portrayed his opponent, Hillary Clinton, as corrupt and self-dealing.

"The only 'victim' that Donald Trump is fighting for anymore is himself," Cooper said.

When the money was headed to Ukraine, that was in America's stated interest.

In holding it back, Trump was subordinating that interest to something else — but not explaining his motives publicly or to Congress.

In issuing a subpoena to Giuliani this week, House Foreign Affairs Chairman Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., wrote that there were "credible allegations" Trump's lawyer "acted as an agent of the president in a scheme to advance his personal political interests by abusing the power of the office of the president."

They will need to arrest some people:
On Tuesday, secretary of state Mike Pompeo rejected demands from House Democrats for five current and former state department officials to testify before committees investigating the president’s attempts to push Ukraine to dig up dirt on a political rival.

The whistleblower reportedly alleged that Volker was one of the officials attempting to “contain the damage” of the scandal by advising Ukrainians on how to handle the requests of Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani—who has publicly admitted to pushing for corruption investigations into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son. The whistleblower also reportedly claimed Yovanovitch was recalled back to Washington earlier than expected because of “pressure” from then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, who had spoken to Giuliani about the investigations and “collusion.”

BREAKING:
Ambassador Volker has confirmed he will appear this Thursday. Ambassador Yovanovitch, who was previously scheduled for this Wednesday, will now be appearing on Oct. 11 with the agreement of both the Committees and counsel.

Passed in the House.

Rejected in the Senate.

Isn't that the most likely scenario?

House can pass the articles of impeachment, which is basically laying charges like a grand jury, the Senate doesn't get to vote on that part. Then there's a trial in the Senate, and it requires 2/3 majority to convict. So it's just political theater as there's zero chance of geting 2/3 majority in the Senate. All they'll do is further divide the country, which seems to be the purpose of all politics on both sides at the moment. Add into that mix shit like the Dem's obsession with identity politics, reparations for slavery, and idiotic comments on gun control and you absolutely guarantee Trump in 2020 and likey a GOP majority in both House and Senate. If you think things are rough now, wait till that happens. The Loony Left will have no one to blame but themselves.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Best impeachment ever! Clinton one was for sperm on blue dress, a joke. This one is real.

The Johnson one

had to do with Civil War after effects.

It's not theater; it's their duty as required by the Constitution. If the Republicans in the Senate want to show everyone that they're fine with presidents using taxpayer funded military aid to extort foreign governments into meddling in our elections, then that's on them. I've no doubt that the Republicans are corrupt, amoral, and partisan enough to choose party over country, but that has no bearing on whether or not the Democrats should do their duty.

Guardian:
And perhaps most damaging of all, the state department’s inspector general, Steve Linick, who acts as an independent watchdog, informed the House committees that he wanted to brief them on Wednesday on documents concerning relations with Ukraine that had been obtained from the department’s legal adviser.

It was unclear whether Pompeo had been warned of Linick’s move.

Since Democrats announced the impeachment inquiry last week, the foreign affairs, intelligence and oversight committees have wasted little time in seeking documents and testimonies.

Could an Impeached President Be Pardoned and Regain Office? (No)

He could resign and then be pardoned by Pence, like Ford did for Nixon.

He could but not become a politician again. The house and senate punish the rotten politicians from entering politics again.

With Barr as his ally, Trump could push this thing going very far until December recess and then to January
The pace is sure to heat up Wednesday with Pelosi and House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff and the President himself expected to hold news conferences.
Trump offered Americans a glimpse into the state of his mind at the end of a tumultuous day with a unfounded tweet that warned illegal attempts were underway to steal the votes and constitutional rights of his supporters.
"As I learn more and more each day, I am coming to the conclusion that what is taking place is not an impeachment, it is a COUP," Trump declared.
Aside from the inflammatory social media posts, the White House clearly understands that its best interests lie in stalling the inquiry for as long as possible, likely with legal challenges challenging subpoenas to give its surrogates time to fog the case and to build public frustration with impeachment.
CNN
Also, any Trump staff can resign. They can then take the 5th saying they do not want to take the rap for Trump.
