Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

The daughter is at it again:

Ivanka Trump defends father with fake impeachment quote
First daughter attributed quote on ‘decline of public morals’ to Alexis de Tocqueville as historians point out message was paraphrase from his text

When is a quote from a historical figure not to be trusted? When it is tweeted by a Trump.

In truth, all historical quotes tweeted out by politicians should be treated with the caution of the most stringent factchecker – and regularly are, particularly when the words in question are supposedly by Winston Churchill.

Nonetheless, this week Ivanka Trump fell into a familiar trap, provoking widespread glee.

On Thursday evening, after a final (for now) dramatic day of public hearings in the impeachment inquiry against her father, the first daughter wrote: “‘A decline of public morals in the United States will probably be marked by the abuse of the power of impeachment as a means of crushing political adversaries or ejecting them from office.’

“Alexis de Tocqueville, 1835.”
"Wat is het een gezellig boel hier".

Looks like one of Rudy's buddies flipped.
The House Intelligence Committee is in possession of audio and video recordings and photographs provided to the committee by Lev Parnas, an associate of President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who reportedly played a key role in assisting him in his efforts to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and Ukraine, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.

The material submitted to the committee includes audio, video and photos that include Giuliani and Trump. It was unclear what the content depicts and the committees only began accessing the material last week.
I wonder what will turn up in this little trove.

Giuliani associate wants to testify that Nunes aides hid Ukraine meetings on Biden dirt from Schiff
  • Lev Parnas, a business associate of Rudy Giuliani, wants to testify to Congress that aides to Rep. Devin Nunes called off a trip to Ukraine this year when they realized they would be required to notify Democratic committee chairman Adam Schiff.
  • The purpose of the trip was to interview two Ukrainian prosecutors who claim to have evidence that could help President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign, according to Parnas’ lawyer.
  • Parnas also alleges that Nunes, a leading Trump ally, himself traveled to Vienna last year to interview a potential source of political dirt on Joe Biden.
The competition is fierce, but Nunes is making a strong case for being the biggest idiot in Congress

Nunes was relentless in spouting various false narratives during his opening and closing remarks in the televised hearings. Of course he wasn't the lone Republican voice of lunacy.

'The Chronicles of Nunes: How His Impeachment Speeches Created an Alternate Reality for GOP'
Slotted in between Chairman Adam Schiff’s daily paeans to conscience and Constitution and the witness’ earnest introductions—Nunes fundamentally sought to change the channel on impeachment. The millions of viewers getting a steady drip of Trump’s questionable activities on Ukraine were abruptly brought in, for five to 10 minutes each day, into an entirely different political universe.

In that universe, Trump is totally innocent of all of the Ukraine allegations, and what’s more, those allegations are just one more step in a coordinated and years-long conspiracy by an evil coterie of actors—Democratic Party operatives, the “fake news” media, faceless and nefarious “deep state” bureaucrats, and even Ukrainians themselves—who will stop at nothing to destroy the president.
He pushed the shudder-inducing 'they were trying to get nude photos of Donald Trump' malarkey on three separate occasions. Daily Beast went easy on him with that one, calling it 'dubious.' It's not merely dubious, it's complete bullshit. When the Russian 'pranksters' were setting up the phone call with Schiff, he brought in the FBI, and told them so. After the phone call, he (or his staff) informed them, and stated that the whole thing was 'probably bogus' (source).

I think Nunes is more intelligent the Gohmert (yeah, definitely damning with faint praise) but he's counting on the Fox News demographic to be on average somewhat less intelligent than Gohmert, ready and willing to swallow Nunes's lies whole.
