Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

If I Had a back yard big enough to launch a rocket, I'd put it in Texas. that way no grass grows and I don't have to mow it.

That's cool, and I bet they are doing good work, but if I had that money to play with I'd be putting it all on interesting unmanned missions.

... Though British Amazon goods are delivered from British Amazon warehouses to British Amazon customers on British roads by British drivers, the sales of those goods are processed in lightly regulated Luxembourg. Can it be a coincidence that as the net tightens on Amazon, its founder, Jeff Bezos, is lobbying Nasa to put Amazon in charge of outer space?

What tax would Bezos pay on a transaction that was processed on the moon, for example, or on a planet so far away that by the time the light from it reached us the financial exchange could legitimately be viewed as having taken place in a previous tax year?...

Amazon began rolling out biometric technology at its Whole Foods stores around Seattle in April, letting shoppers pay for items with a scan of their palm. The system, called Amazon One, lets customers link a credit card to their palm print. read more

Klobuchar, who was joined by Senators Bill Cassidy, a Republican, and Jon Ossoff, a Democrat, expressed concern in the letter dated Thursday about both privacy and competition related to Amazon One.

Setting up the new computer and I needed a little accessory. The Amazon algorithm somehow calculated I got free shipping for the 13 dollar item. I did not shop elsewhere.

I bought a cookbook in the real store today.
