I've never met an American I didn't like. But then again I've only met the ones with passports.
The ex-pat Americans really change after living here a while and it is almost 180 degrees for many and plenty remain. They finally understand what real freedom is.

You guys are arguing with the mericans in your heads again...
They exist and they're like 47% of the country.
Indeed --just meant they weren't doing it here, in this case.

Well, I have to add l'emmy to the role call of sane Americans, and Seabass I suppose (I don't count frothing at the mouth at the mere mention of Republicans)...

You think I've been too tough on the political organization that tells its constituents not to get vaccinated, then blames the high infection rates on dirty, diseased immigrants?
That's not my reading of what JimC posted.
My recent posts here have mostly been for shit and giggles, I do admit... ;)

(but remember that I said that your reactions to Republicans don't count as insanity...)
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?

Fairy nuff, I guess "frothing at the mouth" to me makes it sound like I go too far. Frankly, I'm baffled that there are people who DON'T froth at the mouth at the mention of Republicans.

I don't think you go too far Seabass. I appreciate that you were aware of the threat before me, and have consistently sounded the alarm.

If it means the tx senate is overstepping its powers, it just might.

Whether the current supremes would consider such laws unconstitutional is another question...

There are no required courses from a Federal level, it's set on a state or even local level. The bill has not passed the House yet. From what I can gather, it changes nothing - there was a bill, H.B> 3979, passed this session, requiring those civil rights courses, but it has never been in effect. This new bill removes those requirements. So they were never taught in schools to begin with. The headline is misleading, as is the article, which is hardly surprising given it's source.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
