Kennedy now an independent.
https://wchstv.com/news/local/independe ... leston-wva
last summer 17% of Democrats wanted the anti-vaxxer in place of Biden becoause Biden is too old

In December Williamson is carrying 13% of those polled
In the context of her political campaigns, Williamson's image has polarized many, with some praising her as authentic and eloquent, while others have criticized her for lacking seriousness.

The Fox lady is actually right. Biden should leave the anti-Trump (end of democracy) comments to a deep voiced ad on TV. For his own speeches, he needs to focus on things he will do. The economy is not actually in bad shape, but pick out some consumer related items. Just before the election, BLAST the TV ads with "Trump is a dictator" messages.

Congress has a budget. The press release has no words on Ukraine or Israel.
Basically just a number on spending is the "deal."
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/house- ... s-loom.amp
House and Senate negotiators reached an agreement on a government funding top line Sunday, taking a critical step toward avoiding a shutdown later this month.

The bipartisan deal will set the federal government's discretionary spending at a maximum level of $1.59 trillion, Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., wrote in a letter to colleagues. It would include $886 billion for defense and $704 billion for nondefense spending, Johnson said.

CNN
The concessions from Democrats, he said, include “an additional $10 billion in cuts to the IRS mandatory funding (for a total of $20 billion), which was a key part of the Democrats’ ‘Inflation Reduction Act.’ In addition, we will cut $6.1 billion from the Biden’s Administration’s continued COVID-era slush funds, which we achieved despite fierce opposition.”

Freedom Caucus members have been adamant that spending levels be cut dramatically past what congressional leaders announced Sunday.

I have 2 of his books.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Lakoff#Writings

Your Brain's Politics
Interesting read. It's a sort of discussion bertween 2 authors. Lakoff states that there are no people in the middle of conservatism and liberalism. All people view issues as either one or the other. Depending on the issue. One person may be either side. The total of your views determines your vote. Many voters are one issue only voters.

WAPO tweets about poll. with a paywall.

How much do Americans really care about democracy?
“The disturbing answer: Less and less, especially among the young, whose engagement is crucial to Biden’s prospects for reelection,”

I think the poll misses the obvious which is that young people are saying one thing and voting another - their votes are for democracy and issues that affect their rights. And in that, they are managing to outvote the old, angry white people who are the ones who stage insurrections when democracy fails to reflect their desires...😎

CNN has gone yo the middle or right. Listing these states as Trump:
Leans Republican: (TOTAL: 84 Electoral Votes)

Florida (30), Georgia (16), Maine 2nd Congressional District (1), Michigan (15), Nevada (6), North Carolina (16)

Where Michigan is in no way obvious. It is not Iowa.
https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/05/politics ... index.html

With no reliable Michigan polling, I am going with the 2020 result the best clue.
Percentage Biden 50.62% Trump 47.84%

BREAKING: New polling in PA shows President Biden defeating Donald Trump by 3 points. This is a massive narrative shift. Why does the media refuse to report on it?
