Yeah that's about right. A better President and we'd have stopped this thing.

Gee, if only a famous and powerful person had taken over primetime on all the TV networks two months ago to hammer home how serious this pandemic is. Shame we don't have anyone who has the power to do that sort of thing, or else maybe these kids would have taken it more seriously... :ddpan:

Rofl. I am perplexed that you want to give him a pass on this. There aren't many examples of bigger presidential failures in all of US history. Seriously, he botched this thing worse than he botched Maria. Worse than Bush botched Katrina. I mean, Bush's handling of Katrina would be more like Trump's handling of coronavirus if Bush had first destroyed the levees before Katrina hit, and then spent two months telling us that Katrina never happened.

Have you become so inured to this madness that you think this is normal or acceptable behavior for a president??

Not joining you in your obsession with Trump isn't giving him a pass.

A better President won't solve our problems is a totally uncontroversial statement.

But I guess you're still not ready to talk about anything else.

It's not controversial because no one's ever said it. No one thinks one president is going to solve all the world's problems. The goal in any election is to move the country in the right direction.

Well, this is the Trump thread. Should I talk about something other than Trump in the Trump thread?

World's problems?

An election?

That's what I meant when I said it's like talking to someone working to get Democrats elected. Everything comes back to that.

My comment was about the bigger picture, specifically the differences between Americans and South Koreans that contribute to possibly making pointing the finger at Trump the least relevant response in this whole mess.

But you have to keep bringing it back to Trump, back to his actions, back to an election... are you sure the world doesn't revolve around US politics?

Oh deary me.

If Trump were not such a disastrous POTUS people would not criticise him.
You get into a funk when people criticise Trump.
Ergo, Trump is to blame for your foul mood.

Trump cannot do anything right, can he?

I offered both Pres Trump and VP Pence an opportunity to reassure Americans.

Simple question: “What do you say to Americans who are scared?”

Trump, to me: “I say, you’re a terrible reporter.”

Pence, an hour later: “Don’t be afraid. Be vigilant.”

Trump is kind of just George Bush but an asshole. And a tendency to blame press/Obama.

Trump is far worse than Bush. That outcomes ultimately may not reflect that is just more evidence my bitching is on the right track. :tea:

How fair of you, to blame Trump. That sounds smart and helpful.
If you’re blaming Trump, you’re wrong.

If you’re blaming Democrats, you’re wrong.

If you’re blaming China...you’re making a valid point.
Of course, not true if it comes from a Republican, but still, if China had a propaganda arm...
