SD got a bit carried away there I think. He is more interested in convincing himself he’s won forum argument points than getting at the truth.

The fact is religion is still the default for many people - luckily fewer perhaps. To dismiss someone’s competence, good faith or sincerity by treating it as if they were anti-vaxers or holocaust deniers is simply not sensible.

And the C of E is as close to being agnostic as you can get and still be religious...

That really is it - some people look at that and see xenophobia. Others see a need for border control. Nobody denies Europe has a migration problem. It's not "xenophobic," in my opinion, to be in favor of fixing that.
