Could France Happen in the UK?
Any visible issues here in the UK on the horizon that might cause the masses to rise up and ring the necks of their leaders? Like chimps do?
What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?
Re: Could France Happen in the UK?
Not likely. They've already called out the heavily armored stormtroopers complete with "barricade-busting, crowd control" vehicles in France, they'd do the same in the UK.

These protests are not actually on the scale of many in the past. Civil disorder of this kind is almost part of French culture let's face it.
In the UK we have a lot of exchanging of stern disapproving looks and passive aggression before we get anywhere near spitting our tea out.

I"ll admit such large scale riots have been untowardly common since '95, but they are not a natural part of our culture... part of our culture demands even larger scale and a full revolutionary result

France will happen in a fuck tun more than the UK if governments can’t close the gap on wealth inequality.

They did it once already, in 1066.

actually, it wasn't France, it was Normandy, even if they spoke French... interestingly enough , I once saw an edict of Edward III, it was written in Southern French dialect (Tongue of Oc, like in his Gascon holdings) rather than Northers (Tongue of Oil, as would be spoken in Normandy)

We had "gele vestjes" (yellow vest) demonstrations yesterday as well. Could not quite match France though. Only 50 turned up in Amsterdam. Here, the seat of government, they managed 25. In Arnhem there were 5.
Svarty how much are the right wing FN involved? The Dutch reporter said they were causing the damage and plenty of demonstrators wanted nothing to do with them.

William was a descendant of Rollo, Duke of Normandy, who was a viking. Those vikings got around, eh?Svartalf wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 8:09 pmactually, it wasn't France, it was Normandy, even if they spoke French... interestingly enough , I once saw an edict of Edward III, it was written in Southern French dialect (Tongue of Oc, like in his Gascon holdings) rather than Northers (Tongue of Oil, as would be spoken in Normandy)
There is no evidence that Rollo was the brother of Ragnar, as shown in the TV series. There's not really any historical evidence of Ragnar other than the sagas.
