That's a misdemeanor? We ought to be able to roll all his into a felony by now, surely.
Sadly, being stupid, a seditionist, and a Republican are not aggravating factors, much as they should be.
Isn't sedition a high crime in and of itself? there should be a law punishing it with a stay in guantanamo, unless you can convince the Iraqi to put them in abu ghraib...

Republicans on a roll:
In 2022, a new record of four states — Iowa, Mississippi, Georgia, and Arizona — have made the leap from a progressive tax on personal income to a flat tax.
Flat tax, something that only flat earthers can believe is either a good idea, a just policy, or a fiscally sound option

Their hero liked to brag that only idiots pay taxes.
economic liberals the world over seem to believe a state can assume a growing load of expenses and duties while lightening the tax load, particularly on those who could afford it in the first place.

The state debt is all controlled by the state. The interest rate is in the gov't bonds "foreigners" buy. China owns 15% of our debt.

Nice folks:
36% percent of republicans think places of higher-learning have a positive effect on the US. Moreover just 10% think that the "national news media" has a positive effect on the US

well, maybe the 44 other percent should congregate in an area where no person of higher learning will work?

White suburban Christians discovering their racist roots:
https://apnews.com/article/2022-midterm ... dtvn81gfoe
In Florida, Republicans captured 58 percent of party switchers during those last years of the Trump era. Now, over the last year, they command 71 percent. And in Pennsylvania, the Republicans went from 58% to 63% of party changers.

NOTE:
71% is the changers. Florida Republicans outnumber Democrats 100-200 000

Back in 2015 we moved out of Missouri. Our short list of states and cities included Madison WI. Despite a Democrat governor, it has gone completely Trumpian:

Dese fuckin' guys! Caricatures of unregenerate shit-heads. :fp:

If you wrote this in a story, your editor might suggest something less blatantly on-the-nose.

'GOP lawmaker attended gay son's wedding 3 days after voting against same-sex marriage'
A Republican lawmaker attended his gay son’s wedding just three days after joining the majority of his GOP colleagues in voting against a House bill that would codify federal protections for same-sex marriage.

The gay son of Rep. Glenn Thompson, R-Pa., confirmed to NBC News on Monday that he “married the love of [his] life” on Friday and that his “father was there.” NBC News is not publishing the names of the grooms, neither of whom is a public figure.

Thompson’s press secretary, Maddison Stone, also confirmed the congressman was in attendance.

“Congressman and Mrs. Thompson were thrilled to attend and celebrate their son’s marriage on Friday night as he began this new chapter in his life,” Stone said in an email, adding that the Thompsons are “very happy” to welcome their new son-in-law “into their family.”
