At CPAC conference, penniless refugees are STILL bringing fentanyl to sell at your children's playground:

Fentanyl-related overdoses are clearly a major problem for the country and by far the biggest single contributor to the broader overdose problem. Nonetheless, claims of “110,000” and “over 100,000” fentanyl deaths per year are significant exaggerations. And while the number of overdose deaths and fentanyl-related deaths increased under Biden in 2021, it was also troubling under Trump in 2020 – 91,799 total overdose deaths and 56,516 for synthetic opioids other than methadone.

It’s also worth noting that fentanyl is largely smuggled in by US citizens through legal ports of entry rather than by migrants sneaking past other parts of the border. Contrary to frequent Republican claims, the border is not “open”; border officers have seized thousands of pounds of fentanyl under Biden.

Interesting how the word woke has now expanded to include everything liberal. A story on Manchin and pals opposing a bill where retirement fund managers could not advise investors on the green aspect of a fund was up for a senate vote. Biden will veto it.

Therefore the "green" angle to politics, burning coal etc, is now labeled woke.

'Woke' is a synonym for 'degenerate.' Anything that is not Making America Great Again is woke; it's un-American and loathsome, really bad for the children and there is far too much of it. God will be mightily displeased if the wokists aren't stopped right now. Otherwise the US of A will be destroyed by the woke perversion of all that is good and wholesome, the globalist/socialist agenda disguised as concern for the fate of the planetary ecosystem.

I'm still trying to understand how a byword for human rights and vigilance managed to take that road.

Also, how does wokitude manage to pervert mom and apple pie?

It's all about pwning the Libs. If Libs think things like human right and vigilance are good then it must be a bad idea. If Libs think opposing Putin in Ukraine is a good thing then Putin must be right. If Libs think that women have bodily autonomy then abortion is wrong. If Libs think progressive tax systems are better then business, corporations, and the stinking rich shouldn't have to pay tax. &c &c &c &c.

I seen the elephants lost any sense of values in ther 70s, and since then they only define themselves as opposing the dems... totally silly but that would explain the number of absurdities they've committed since reage... and why they let so many forceful, but hateful personalities get so high in their circles.

The GOP are pathologically obsessed with making sure that everyone in the graveyard died poorer than then.

A blast from the past (2004) mentions MTV: Otherwise still relevant.
The problem is this: the vast majority of Americans agree with the basic platform of the Democratic Party(as well as the basic points of the Republican Party of 25-30 years ago). Nearly no one agrees with the actual platform of far-right radicals. The difference is that Democrats felt awfully comfortable that the truth would be enough to sell obviously good programs and policy, while the far-right radicals know for a fact that they can't convince anyone by being straight with them. Therefore, the far-right created campaigns based on advertising, in order to sell their ideas in a sort of bait and switch. By turning language on its head, and disguising their real agenda, the far-right has conducted a culture war upon America. They do all sorts of creative things, like create multiple dummy "grassroots" organizations, so that they can pretend to be a populist movement. They lie without hesitation, because by the time a lie is tracked down, no one in this high-speed MTV world cares anymore.
