This episode of 'Once More 'Round the Mulberry Bush' has been brought to you by ...

Republicans! Specifically, US Republican senators. Oh they're sore that the Democrats have pushed through relief legislation without letting them rip out its guts. Never mind that a solid majority of Republican voters support the relief package. Never mind that they abhorred and scorned bipartisanship while they controlled the Senate. They gleefully gave tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy that cost at least as much as the current relief package, and didn't mind at all that no Democratic senators voted for it.

Those Republican senators (many of whom are millionaires, and all of whom get the finest medical care courtesy of the US government but of course that's not relevant) know better than their constituents what is needed here. Whatever that is, it's certainly not what the Democratic legislators have put together.

And now back to the program. :teef:

You still haven't showed me you understand what Blake was doing there, or what Harris was doing to the victim.

Plus you keep ignoring my questions. Do that all you like. There is no requirement for you to take any part of this seriously.

Just don't expect me to take you too seriously about this. You can't seem to see past Saint Harris and her honest mistake.

Getting back to the thread topic, I think I found another Republican...

Who would have ever guessed that she wasn't a health care policy expert?
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/0 ... en-miller/

“I’m not a health care policy expert,” she said. “The single deputy structure means everything is a bottleneck. I’ve got these high-powered deputies and that’s how we’re going to get stuff done.”…

Rice posted a photo to twitter Saturday night showing the ritual sage burning, complete with white sage in an abalone shell and a feather.

Image

I can't believe they are so far behind times. For my smudging, I get it fucking DONE! I use extracted sage oil, and for the abalone, plain calcium (they are chemically identical)

I mix those two ingredients in homeopathic quantities (100C) into the main fuel storage for the region. This is succussed through the normal fuel transfer processes (pumping, trucking, drumming) and is automatically smudged in every building that uses fuel, every vehicle, every aircraft.

Hell, I bet my homeopathic additive is smudging homes outside the north, just by homeoproxy.

Meanwhile, Republican luminary Representative Boebert deploys the devastating classic 'no u' riposte. That'll show the vile socialists!

'Lauren Boebert Accuses Democrats of Being "Obsessed With Conspiracy Theories"'
Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado on Saturday night accused Democrats of being "obsessed with conspiracy theories" as she railed against Capitol security measures enforced in the aftermath of the insurrection on January 6.

Speaking on Fox News' Justice With Judge Jeanine, Boebert told host Jeanine Pirro that Capitol security measures should be relaxed because she believes that the threats have subsided.

"No one on the outside can get into the Capitol, it is only staffers and members of Congress who are allowed at the people's house," she said. "At our nation's Capital. This is complete bonkers that we are keeping people out of the U.S. Capitol. There's clearly not a threat. There was nothing that happened on March 4."
One might suggest that the comparison between policing and access on Jan 6th and March 4th amount to a kind of double-blind trial. Boebert's logic is as sound as those who claim that social measures which mitigate the spread of a pandemic and reduce the risk of contagion are unnecessary because the risks of contagion are low following the implementation of social measure which mitigate the spread of a pandemic.

Didn't I acknowledge the media gets things wrong and that Blake's case could be one of those times? How much more about Blake's case am I required to know, and why, again?

Didn't I say that I had already seen the police shooting numbers and therefore couldn't play along with you? Besides, didn't you kind of give that one away?

I told you I was surprised by the irrelevance of a cop's race in police shootings.

Trump revenge plan is going to do nothing for GOP as he is just replacing republicans woth other republicans.

(CNN)Former President Donald Trump said Saturday he plans to campaign against GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski in Alaska next year when she's up for reelection, intensifying his pledges to oppose GOP lawmakers who have bucked him.

"She represents her state badly and her country even worse. I do not know where other people will be next year, but I know where I will be -- in Alaska campaigning against a disloyal and very bad Senator."

Because you said 'could be', but didn't say what he was doing there, who called the cops, or noted that he was winning a fight with them, and going for a knife, when they finally shot him.

Didn't I say that I had already seen the police shooting numbers and therefore couldn't play along with you? Besides, didn't you kind of give that one away?
Probably. I was slightly surprised that I had so hugely overestimated the number, but even more disturbed by the popular misunderstandings.

I told you I was surprised by the irrelevance of a cop's race in police shootings.
I wasn't talking about the race of the cop, just the number of unarmed black men shot by cops.

---psst, that's an example of the same kind of problem you were hoping to draw attention to "Imagine the cop's race in police shootings of blacks, now look it up" :fp:

Saint Harris
I didn't say anything about the race of the cop. Or the race of the victim. The only one mentioning race were the media, and Harris, trying to gin up hate for something.

I think they call it 'race-baiting', but I just call it lying for political gain, and even though she clearly did that, she will suffer no consequences.

Except you continuing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

As I said, keep your opinion, just know that I don't think it is very informed. You keep proving it.

I'll explain just one more time Cunt. I told you I was surprised by the irrelevance of the cop's race in predicting who got shot, because it demonstrates the same problem you were hoping to show me through your example of the number of unarmed blacks shot by police. Both examples show the same bias.

Jesus fucking christ man.

--//--

Regarding Blake's case, dude, good job. You learned months after the fact that it may have been a justified shooting. I say may because I haven't looked into it.

Why do I need to again? I gave a possible explanation for the VP's behavior, and the media's following the shooting that is not obviously proved wrong by acknowledging the shooting was justified. So why do I need to be as informed about this shooting as you believe yourself to be?

I suspect you think the shooting being justified allows you to draw some as yet not explicitly stated conclusion e.g. the protest and riots are all the result of bullshit media manipulation and race baiting... :dunno:

Genuine logic has never been a significant component of the QAnon phenomenon, though they seem to have their own special form of logic. I don't know who Boebert thinks she's impressing with her absurd rhetoric, but I suppose the people who voted for her are cheering her on.

I'm talking about a media and Harris willing to sell a story of oppressed Blake, while knowing what they knew and when. You choose to excuse her and the media.

Ok.
Regarding Blake's case, dude, good job. You learned months after the fact that it may have been a justified shooting. I say may because I haven't looked into it.
So you don't know what happened, but somehow are still very willing to excuse everyone on one side of that particular issue.

Ok.
Why do I need to again? I gave a possible explanation for the VP's behavior, and the media's following the shooting that is not obviously proved wrong by acknowledging the shooting was justified. So why do I need to be as informed about this shooting as you believe yourself to be?
Because you are excusing Harris and Biden for supporting him. I suspect you don't even know the name of his victim, who held a restraining order on him, and called the police for help.

But keep defending the establishment. They need your help.

I suspect you think the shooting being justified allows you to draw some as yet not explicitly stated conclusion e.g. the protest and riots are all the result of bullshit media manipulation and race baiting... :dunno:
Pretty coarse, but yes, I'll take that.

Each of the cases is presented as a CLEAR case of racial violence. Each case looks VERY different on examination.

Later on, people can always excuse the 'heat of the moment' reaction to what looks like racial violence, yet still decline to look into it.

The media gets away with certain lies because their lies are never assembled.

Years from now, when most people who looked into it know what crimes Blake was doing, will have one (accurate) view of history, and the rest will have another view of it.

It's why they have to board up in anticipation of the Chauvin verdict. It's not because of what the verdict will be, it is a lack of trust IN the verdict.

But I understand you not wanting to review Blakes case here out loud. Funny coincidence how no-one will hold Harris or the media to account eh?

You're as fixated on the Blake case as you think the media are.

Let's not forget that there's still dispute about what exactly took place and Blake was not charged. I guess some might say that being shot seven times in the back a close range was punishment enough eh?
