That's how you know you're dealing with the very worst kind of boring humanity has to offer. Nobody with even five minutes of life experience would believe that an all knowing, all loving god would deny them entry into paradise because they believed one thing yesterday, and something else today!

I'd conjecture that an all knowing, all loving god, would consider their actions more important than any flights of belief they may entertain from one day to the next.

Personally, I say fuck it, do what I want, get high, and drink some beer, ... at least that's my belief today.

I think you overlook the guilt and fear factors. The apostate is doomed to damnation, not because she or he uses his/her (presumably) god given brain to reach the inescapably logical conclusion that the god in question is highly unlikely to exist, but because the god is rejected and 'cast out' of the heart. I lived with that thought for a year or two after I left. I had doubts in both directions. No longer!

It isn't just dumb and boring. it is spiteful and nasty.

Plus he already know you're going to reject him and he knows what he's going to do with you when you do. So why all the palaver?
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

If god was love, I'd still have my parents and I'd have a nice wife to remind me what love is all about.

It's a mind virus, and people have different cognitive immune systems (often weakened when lonely etc.). Plus, various strains of the virus have different levels of infectiousness...

Yes, I intentionally simplified things to make a point. Unfortunately for me we're always more clever in our own heads eh? :hehe:
