There are too many damn Trump threads as it is. It's hard to keep track of them all. We only need one, really. Or one for serious and one for humor.
They're all Trump bashing threads, which are fine.
It doesn't hurt anyone to have another thread.
The issue is that some people want to control the discussion here. There is absolutely no good reason why a thread dedicated to the possibility of a Nobel Prize for the President would be disallowed. It's relevant. It's newsworthy, it's political, it's a current event. It's also going to be an ongoing discussion because the President will be meeting with Kim Jong Un and it will be a lengthy process toward peace or war, if any, and it will be a contentious issue as to whether the prize committee would see fit to award him the prize under any circumstances.
We had a thread about the Nobel Prize aspect of the previous President, and it didn't present too much of a burden on this thread, and that's when there was actually a large population of posters here.
It's really ridiculous that people can create hosts of nonsense threads about anything and everything, and it doesn't matter, but because some people here have a hard-on for Donald Trump, we have to make sure discussions don't get beyond a slew of Trump bashing and insults.

The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar
