#lyincomey

He's such a liar that if he put black socks on in the morning they'd be red by lunchtime. I just don't know what he's got to gain by impugning such an obvious and stable genius as the best POTUS in the history of history ever.

This is Trump's party. These are Trump supporters.
Overt anti-Semites have been slowly creeping into Republican politics in the aftermath of President Trump’s successful, populist candidacy, and now one of them has a fighting chance of representing the Republican Party in a Senate race.

The man in question is Patrick Little, an extremist with hardline anti-Semitic views who is backed by David Duke and other far-right extremists. Little will be squaring off in a top-two primary with 10 other Republicans as well as Democrats and independents on June 5 for the chance to oppose veteran Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein. According to the most recent poll, released last week, he very much has a chance of winning the right to face off with the incumbent.

A poll conducted by local ABC News affiliates along with the polling company Survey USA, suggested that Little is polling at 18 percent of the vote on the Republican ticket, a full 10 points ahead of his next strongest opponent. The 84-year-old Feinstein, who first entered office way back in 1992, at the start of Bill Clinton’s first term, remains a solid favorite to win the state—polling at 39 percent.

Being right wing and probably virulently anti-Islam, are they still prepared to use American muscle to defend Israel?

Somewhat conflicted, I suspect...

Of he goes again.

Donald Trump launches fresh attack on 'lousy' US embassy in London and threatens to 'take on' EU over trade
Donald Trump launched a fresh attack on the location of the new US embassy in London, calling it "lousy" and "horrible", ahead of a planned visit to the UK this summer.

The US president also attacked the European Union over trade, threatening to "take on" the bloc which he said was "formed to take advantage of the US".
FFS "formed to take advantage of the US". What advantage? Our standards are far higher than America's. Just how do you take advantage?

He must think the same about the the new embassy here. It was in an expensive part of town but now it is the woods next to an amateur football club on the edge of town.

CNN:
Wolf's criticism of the media was (generally) on point
The most powerful line of Wolf's speech, which will inevitably get overshadowed by what she said about Sanders, was this on the media and Trump:
"He has helped you sell your papers and your books and your TV. You helped create this monster and now you are profiting from him."
The first sentence there is 100% right. It is absolutely beyond debate that Trump has been good for the news business. The amount of news he creates coupled with the number of people who consume news about him has made cable news and print media more relevant (and profitable) than ever before.
The second sentence I take some issue with. Yes, cable ran Trump's primary speeches because he said and did things that no one else would do -- and that people would watch. And, yes, when I was at The Washington Post, I wrote about Trump regularly because he said and did things that no one else did.
But that, to me, is different than "creating" Trump. Donald Trump's candidacy was formed and sharpened by an angry and embittered GOP electorate who was sick of their own party, of Washington, of the media, of everything. He was rising whether the media covered him wall to wall or not; he was the angry id of the GOP. The media didn't create that.

Well, arguably they did, but a bit further back in time. The media in the US hasn't held any government to account properly, whether Dem or Repub, for a long time now. And as such, politicians have had relatively free reign to ignore what the public wants and to pursue their neoliberal agenda of enriching themselves and their corporate buddies.

Democrats don’t need to do much. Many people are mad at Trump and will show up to vote. But many more are brainwashed by Foxnews and think anything anti-Trump is socialism and ”government is bad.” Those people can’t be channged between now and November.
