It's been undisturbed a long time. Why risk waking it up? :tea:

I call dibs on the treasure!
“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

They used muon-detection to map the pyramid's structure. Pretty cool stuff eh?

Nothing bad ever comes of these 3d holographic maps? It'll open from the inside if they knock carefully.

My bet is that it was a marshalling area. I've been into the Cheops pyramid - you used to be able to - don't know if you can these days. The passage into it is very tight and low and if, as I was, you are in a line of people and you suffer, as I do, from claustrophobia, it is pretty unpleasant. A space where they could assemble and organise stuff would have been very handy I suspect.

If you have not been up close to Cheops or any of the bigger pyramids you can't really comprehend the scale. They are more humongous than I realised.

I've seen the one at Las Vegas, so I know what you mean.

Imagine walking up that every day at dawn. Those Toltec priests must have had thighs of steel.

Actually I was taught the trick there. You dont walk straight up as the steps are not designed for that and are not deep enough. You walk up at an angle placing your whole foot onto the step. It is relatively easy. The bannisters are a modern addition and are not required. The Moon pyramid is a doddle in comparison.

A weird place though it was 48C when I was there and no shadow anywhere. The people who lived there used to collect the rain water that fell once a year. It thought that is why they left as the rains were not very consistent.

Same trick applies to any hill or mountain. Only a dutchman would need teaching it.
