Sexual Harassment Test - Are you Part of the Problem?
http://www.viraltrends.co/2017/11/02/ta ... d-someone/
O.k., I got 10 out of these, but come on now... what kind of idiot quiz is this?
Looked at her breasts? You're part of the problem if you looked at someone's breasts?
Touched anyone without them asking you first? I mean - yeah - women do that to me all the time, and I do that to them. You know, common touching - tap on the shoulder, reach across the table and touch a person's hand - whatever. People touch each other all the time. And, we can't assume the question means an inappropriate kind of touch, because later in the quiz, the question involves "inappropriate touching while dancing." So, there is no reason why the questions about touching someone you know or don't know would be a particular kind of touching.
Stolen a kiss? I mean - everyone has done that. It's called going on a date, and then at the end you lean in to kiss her goodnight. That's "part of the problem?"
O.k. men, don't look at women unless they say it's o.k. Don't talk to them unless they speak to you first. Don't try to kiss anyone you're on a date with. And, don't touch a woman anytime for any reason, unless they say it's o.k. first.
This illustrates a problem with this whole area of discussion. Including things which are not part of the set X in the set X, so that you basically make everyone an offender. There isn't a single person in the world who can pass this test without at least 1 point, and the conclusion is, if you get 1 point, you are part of the problem.

I'm not sure what you think the problem is here, nor what you think the solution might be. Throw us a bone.

Take the quiz in the link.
The problem is including non-sexually harassing behavior in a quiz to identify people as "part of the problem," which ultimately includes pretty much everyone in the category of "part of the problem" and includes innocent and customary behaviors as sexually harassing. "Have you ever looked at a woman's breasts while talking to her?" Well, of course - especially if she's wearing a bikini or a low cut blouse. If she's in front of me, then my eyes will also take in the light bouncing off her breasts.

Have you ever looked at a woman and gotten an erection without her consent lol
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

This whole "42 defends us all from an oncoming feminist socialist apocalypse by starting another thread ranting about whatever he doesn't understand on the internet today" routine - is really tedious.

Re: Sexual Harassment Test - Are you Part of the Problem?
Psycho
Is there a way to take the test other than to sit through the video because I couldn't get past the first 30 seconds...
Seriously, I think sexual harassment is a real and serious issue. I am glad that abusive people are getting exposed, but I am a little worried that the onslaught of reports of "sexual abuse" that contain things like Dustin Hoffman patting a woman on the ass 30 years ago are going to end up detracting from the real issue rather than highlighting it.
And I understand the other side of the argument that would say that the fact that we consider things like ass grabbing not big enough to mention in the light of the bigger issues an issue in itself. I don't know

Re: Sexual Harassment Test - Are you Part of the Problem?
Pretty much everyone agrees that sexual abuse and racism etc are wrong and bad for society, but many people seem to think that concerns about it don't apply to them, and many of them make the issue out to be one about how so-called 'politically correct' types like progressive and feminist are massive killjoys for going on about it all the time.
To some extent I think we have Mr Trump to thank for this particular round of the sexual harassment discussion, the man who said "I have the greatest respect for women", but only after we found out about him serially bursting into beauty pageant contestants' changing rooms and heard him talking about using his position of power and influence to "Grab 'em by the pussy." I think that a lot of people are not happy with this kind of thing being the new normal (because they can remember when it was the old normal). I'm among them.
