We have a self declared fascist amongst us. Personally I think is is an evil doctrine that has done little but cause harm, political strife and death to millions during the last century in particular. Given the rise of nationalism in the modern world is seems there is at least some risk of it doing so again. Here are a few thoughts on the nature of its true nastiness.

I think that the pseudo-scientific racialist aspect of Nazi Germany in large part lead to a bad taste in people's mouths regarding fascism. Overall the notion of private ownership and market forces coupled with centrally promoted culture and control of security related industries is a very efficient model.
