Worthless shooters, a world of baddies to choose from and they shoot random people having a good time, or kids in a school.

I'm done having this conversation in America btw it's difficult and utterly pointless.

It is very sad that reason cannot prevail with this issue given the thousands (literally) who have died in mass shootings in recent years. Even something as major as this isn't going to make a difference I fear. These things are almost routine and the gun lobby just shrugs its shoulders and rubs its greedy little mitts as more people buy guns to 'protect themselves' from this sort of violence.

It's a country and western gig. Most of the people would have been gun enthusiasts. So it's not so bad.

I'm sure the wounded survivors all have great health insurance.

They call it the wild west. The shoot out at the Mandalay corral. By Wild Steve Paddock. Apparently his dad was a bank robber. Somehow, it wasn't so bad in the movies. Only baddies got plugged.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

I'm no fan of Country music, at least not the sticky-sweet end of the genre, but I'm a big fan of people coming together and enjoying themselves at live gigs. 60 dead and over 500 injured. This is truly horrendous.

understood and I agree something must be done, but what? This guy had automatic weapons, which are illegal already for almost everyone. What good would banning a handguns and hunting weapons do?

Of course the entire tragedy would have been avoided had everybody been "carrying".

The guy was shooting full auto out of a window at Mandalay Bay hotel. How in the world would people in the crowd shoot him with .38's in their belts?

And this idea that everyone carries in the US, particularly at country concerts, is absurd. Guns are rarely seen at such events. Generally they are not allowed at concert venues.

What always fucks me off is the increase in the share price of arms manufacturers immediately after events like this as "investors" jump in to profit from fear and horror. Cunts all of them. :nono:

Fully automatic weapons are not illegal under federal law. Nor are they illegal in Nevada. Legal fully automatic machine guns (those manufactured before 1986) are very expensive, however the Las Vegas shooter was apparently a devoted collector of firearms.

Anybody with the right knowledge of gunsmithing and with access to a good machine shop can convert a semi-auto to full automatic, though that is illegal.
