What was the tipping point?

I don't think the Democrat leadership can defeat the GOP. --even their victories aren't victories, and now women are going to lose their right to an abortion in a decision that I think hopes to eventually force some sort of reassertion of the US as a Christian Nation at the highest levels.

Not just Christian. The brown people get nothing even as Christians. If that Christianity is in a foreign language it does not count. Not even Greek.

But one thing we can be sure of is that come election time, if they don’t win, they’ll blame all of this on us. In his statement on the leaked Court draft, Biden says, “it will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November.” They’ve harbored an anti-choice wing in their party for decades, and the DNC is bankrolling anti-abortion candidates this midterm cycle. Nancy Pelosi was just in Texas this week campaigning for anti-choice Democrat Henry Cuellar whose facing off against a progressive, pro-choice challenger.

We didn’t screw this up – they did, while the rest of us were just trying to get by. Those “Grace, it’s urgent” fundraising emails asking me to line the pockets of the “party of Roe” are landing like a kick in the uterus. Mark as spam.

The election will be about
1 abortion
2 for the GOP, preventing democrats voting, because they will bring back abortion.

The Democrats will bring back abortion?

I don't think so.

They all knew this was coming. They--the Democrats--just can't stop the GOP. I don't know why, we've seen every excuse.

Yes they will. But it is another matter how long the law would stand as there needs to be court stacking as well.

I don't think we get it back Tero. It would require more than any of our leaders have got.

They have now pushed all the buttons to get blacks, liberals and all to show up to vote. It will be like the Obama election no matter who democrats run. If a Democrat wins in 2024 it will be an ugly fight for 4 years vetween 2 parties. One thing that will happen is that Mitch McConnel will step aside and just collect salary. To 2026.

To me, a problem with what you're saying here is the belief that getting Democrats elected is a solution. It hasn't been. They don't get what they want even when almost everyone else wants it too... even their victories aren't victories...

Well, I can't change the constitution. I had one chance to leave the US for a job early 2000s. A Polish guy got that job in Sweden. And even the research site shut down 5 years later and jobs moved to the UK. I guess I would be in the UK now. My kids would never have married the two they married.

Yeah, that's the thing. In Texas it may look hopeless. But I think Georgia and a few other places have moved significantly to the left. Pennsylvania is weird, I don't know. Michigan is a lost cause. Wisconsin can be brought back. It will take an entire 8 years for trumpsters in those states to discover it was all bluff. In that sense, Trumps should have won 2020, then we would see him sink fast in 2022-2024.
