There's nothing wrong with corn likker. Except the price in the UK.

I prefer rye anyway, but I don't say no to any of it.

LOL - the Gadsden Flag has nothing to do with the confederacy.

Good to see that you, I and the creator of the above graphic agree. The Gadsden flag is not the real confederate flag. That is why each of those flags are flown on a separate pole.

The fact that people who like buying confederate battle flags as bumper stickers tend to also like the Gadsden flag does not make the latter a confederate flag. Again, nobody disagrees with that. It's non-controversial. Happy now?

I think we need a flag that promotes the virtues of Southern tolerance and inclusion...

It's not even a fake confederate flag, and there is nothing nefarious about the Gadsden Flag. Just because someone who flies the confederate flag also flies the Gadsden flag, that doesn't mean it's a hate symbol now.

My issue is that there seems to be a movement to "hate speech-ify" the Gadsden Flag, which has nothing to do with hate speech, much less the confederacy, and it was originally a flag of the early US Marine corps.

That hammer and sickle is a classic hate symbol, IMO. Too little mention is made of that.

Whereas the flag's clear reference to the swastika barely garners a second thought?

There is no shortage of opposition to the swastika. There are plenty of people who defend the hammer and sickle monstrosity.

Do you consider it a 'classic hate symbol' though?

It's a classic case of guilt by association, and therefore totally unfair by definition. I agree with you once again. What has the Gadsden flag ever done to be hated? Well: nothing. It's misfortune was that a number of Trump supporters, right wing nut jobs, racists and other low life forms have appropriated the US Marine corps's flag, thus besmirching the symbol for the noble cause of war - just war only, of course, which is the only type of war the USA has ever been involved in, except when the Democrats have started one. Mustn't forget to blame the Democrats for something.

Are the wars started by Democrats just?

Don't Tread on Me was generally, until recently, associated with the American war of independence. It had nothing to do with hatred, other than of the British. :-)

Which part of the only type of wars the USA has ever been involved in have been just wars, except when the Democrats have started one are you having trouble comprehending? And is the signal contained in the following sentence lost on you, or are you just pretending not to notice that I picked you up on your ritual that evokes Cato's "Ceterum autem censeo Carthaginem esse delendam"?

I got that the first time you said it. Did you get the bit where I wrote that then "It's misfortune was that a number of Trump supporters, right wing nut jobs, racists and other low life forms have appropriated the US Marine corps's flag, thus besmirching the symbol"?

You've always been top of the range at being an evasive and disingenuous debater. Please don't become #1 in the "boring" class. Stay at #3 and let Dodo and Collector duke it out for the lead.
