You were not there when the insurance dropped my mom in the 90s after she had cancer.
Expensive insurance with high deductable is still better than not qualifying for insurance.
The rates going up relates to thecsmall pool left in the market.

Here's what's really nuts. He says Obamacare caused his premiums to triple. He lives in a Republican controlled state. I, on the other hand, live in a Democrat controlled state. My premiums have gone up by maybe 20-30% since Obamacare, and it's hard to say how much of that is actually because of Obamacare since premiums would increase from time to time before Obamacare, on account of inflation or whatever. And who does he blame? Democrats of course.
Here's what else is really nuts. Obamacare is basically a Republican healthcare system.
To be fair, you have to do that if you want to remain a Republican.pErvinalia wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 2:47 amI'm pretty sure he ignored that, like he ignores lots of inconvenient facts if you don't hound him into answering.
That does seem a lot - what do our other US members tend to pay?
No have a proper UHC and pay €100 a month.
That would be great. To do that, however, the US would defintely have to change a lot of other things regarding what it spends its money on, or it would have to signficantly raise taxes (which is tough since we're already running deficits, relying on GDP growth to carry the debt). Much of the Dutch system is funded through taxation, in addition to those 100 euro fees, but The Netherlands doesn't pay what the US pays for, say, military expenditures.
