That's why I said we have to create a good competitive market. They've managed to fuck it all up so bad, and it's just crony capitalism at its best. It's a major problem. But, Obamacare still sucks donkey dick. It's horseshit, and everybody really knows it. The media won't report the problems, though, because that would require that they debunk this basket of good intentions and counter their idol. His work was too important to risk helping the evil opponents of Obama to dismantle what clearly was intended to help the less fortunate...

Reads more like a sales pitch than a fact check. LOL.

Politifact is rather biased. It's pro Obamacare and pro-Democrat.

Since there's no real market competition in either the care or the insurance, (and never will be), it would make sense to dump the current system, and have government healthcare for all. People could still go private, if they want. Just like in the UK.

US healthcare will get more and more expensive. Obama or no Obama. You ain't seen nuthin yet.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Thanks Trump:
The deadline for insurance companies to set rates for 2018 is in about a month. And many insurance companies have cited uncertainty caused by the Trump administration as the major reason for hiking rates in 2018.

Losses typically mean "We haven't made as much money as we thought we were going to."

Exclusive: Majority of Americans want Congress to move on from healthcare reform - Reuters/Ipsos poll
attachFull5701
Poll: 61 percent of Americans do not want Obamacare repealed and ...
Most Americans won't be affected by Obamacare premium increase ...

Since Obamacare's coverage provisions began taking effect in 2010, the nation's uninsured rate has dropped by 7.2 percentage points, from 16 percent. That translates into 20.4 million fewer people who lacked health insurance in 2016 than in 2010. The data come from a survey released Tuesday by the National Center for Health Statistics, a division of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

"The very people who keep calling the law broken have the ACA's track record of covering more people with high quality benefits as a baseline to improve from," said Slavitt, whose massive former agency oversees the health-care law. "If they stop with repeal and start focusing on improvement opportunities, we can continue to make progress."

Since January, President Donald Trump and the GOP-controlled Congress have taken steps toward gutting key parts of the ACA. They also have discussed replacing the law, but so far have not come up with a proposal on how to do that.

Putting things into perspective, the mighty USA is going broke giving healthcare to 20 million Americans. GOP spends years trying to repeal this. Insurance companies (they do not need patients, they have at least 100 million) keeps fighting it too, avoiding any risk.

They simply bought Heller's votes:
But here's the good news: Money! From the Nevada Independent:

Fresh off Sen. Dean Heller’s vote for the so-called skinny Obamacare repeal, a SuperPAC linked to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says it will spend seven figures to defend him — including fending off any primary challenge. “We were Senator Heller’s biggest independent supporter in 2012 and we expect to be in 2018,” said Steven Law, McConnell’s former chief of staff who now oversees the Senate Leadership Fund.
Dean Heller is going to win re-election.
Heller voted for the skinny bill to get the SuperPac money. He has over 50% disapproval in Nevada. Election is 2018.

There is work to be done. The ball is mostly in the GOP court, so they have to start something that Democrats would vote on. So far nothing like that was discussed.

Why not just increase Medicaid eligibility to cover those that are deemed not able to afford insurance?

Ryan. He wants to get rid of Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security. Our next president!
