Using electricity to produce produce hydrogen from air is too expensive? Everyone said that as soon as it was mentioned. There's not scientific breakthrough. Everyone knew it could be done, and would be too expensive.
So now, his idea is, to use electricity, to create sound, to produce hydrogen.
All he's doing, is putting sound in the middle. It's still going to be too expensive.
Basically, you need energy to break the bond between hydrogen and oxygen.
Electricity is the most expensive form of widely used energy. So it's always going to be uneconomic.
If he could invent a way of using sunlight to split water directly into hydrogen and oxygen, he'd be onto a winner. But I won't hold my breath.
