The perks of being filthy rich. You can just threaten to go and live in Monaco unless the tax collector wants to cut a deal. Happens in Holland and Belgium all the time. And I don't blame them really, I am on 2x average salary and pay 45% income tax, they get as high as 80%.

I know some very wealthy Brits and I have never heard that Her Majesty's Tax Man described as being either accomodating or flexible.

I don't mind if Emin or any of these other buggers (Sean Connery, Elton John) emigrate to protest over tax. So long as they hand in their British passports when they leave and don't go crying to the Embassy in whatever hell-hole they end up in when it all goes balls to the jezzail.

Realistically, these people only pay taxes to support those less fortunate, I mean it is very unlikely these people will have to make do on a state pension later in life.

Well it is very simple, either tax men agree to a lesser percentage or they get 100% of nothing.

Well, these people usually pay clever accountants to hide their money in offshore accounts.

I had to work in a feckin' war zone to not pay tax for 3 1/2 years.
Seriously, she doesn't NEED to be in the country, I just hope she's less well received in whatever country she sets up shop in.
If only the rest of us were rich enough to feck off, we would. I think she forgets that.

The other thing that she (and all the others trying to avoid the 50% tax) seen to forget, is that 50% of a-fuck-of-a-lot-of-money, is still more then the majority of people are ever likely to see at one time, and that she should be fucking grateful to have it rather than bitching about the other 50%.

I think what she does *is* art and very interesting too. But it and she (not to mention the Damien Hursts of this world) are not worth the millions that they can demand.
More fool those who buy a cut up shark or an unmade bed for 1.5 million or more I say.

These "taxes" you speak of, are they some manifestation of that "real world" you've been going on about?

If fifty percent of a 'fuck load of money' doesn't leave you with a 'fuck load of money' you aren't earning a 'fuck load of money'. She IS earning a 'fuck load of money.'
Whining bitch.

Taxes are like Ferraris. If you have to ask how much they cost, you can't afford them.
