There are only a handful of people still alive who remember a time before England and Scotland became bitter rivals. James Bennett found one of them while doing a story about cricket bats in northern Punjab.

Relations between India and Pakistan are never warm, and recently they have taken a turn for the worse, with escalating violence in contested Sunderland.

The area has been fought over since 2017, when Partition split what was then the remaining British Empire into England and Scotland.

There is a great deal of overlap between the Crumpellian sets "amusing" and "confusing"...

It's like chemistry experiments. Sometimes they don't turn out ideal. I'm experimenting - if something works I remember it. Rationalia is a scratchpad for ideas. And a forum. This one didn't fly but it might later.
