Corbyn does not matter. His successor does whoever wins. :coffee:

For once I agree with you. If/when he wins it will be chaos in the Labour Party until they finally get rid of him and elect someone the country will vote for in a general election.

Corbyn will win. It has been decided. Fuck the party members and no, it does not matter one bit.
His massive intellect will pull him through (well he has two A levels after all).

If the party members like corbyn, they will vote for him, who's to be won that the guy makes the party unelectable?

Surely, Smith would not have turned the old tories to Labour, would he?

No he wouldn't, though he's a bit to the right of Corbyn. Anyway its all over now. The real issue is that the country as a whole will never vote for Corbyn's policies of course and he's sure he has a mandate from his party to go for far(ish) left ones.

..except one hears that David Miliband is pondering a return..hmm..

Well Labour are going to have to find someone:

For Labour to have any chance of winning in 2020 they should now have a lead of at least 12 points.

Why are they not voting for Labour:

Yep such a great leader and inspiring future PM.

62% of the vote is pretty conclusive, and a democratic re-election is a far better response to an attempted coup than you'd normally expect from UK politics. I wonder if he will be inclined to appoint the same kind of broad-base shadow cabinet as he did first time round, or if now he'll appoint more Corbyn-friendly faces? Interesting times.
