It's funny.
Most people disapprove of wife collecting. Me included.
But in my twenties, I often had more than one girlfriend on the go. More than one of them were married at the time. It just seemed a natural thing to aspire to. (if you could get away with it.)
And plenty of women I knew were up to the same tricks.

But that doesn't meet with the same disapproval as a man having more than one wife.
I suppose it's the legal difference. We disapprove of one man having more than one bit of female property. It seems selfish, taking more than one woman "off the market".

I wonder what the first wife thinks about the prospect of adding a second, or third, or fourth (and why stop there?). If this were to be a thing then it should apply to both sexes, and then the second wife could have three additional husbands, and each of them could have three additional wives etc etc. In the end we'd all be married to each other darling.
