The polls were wrong and Labour got crushed by the 'shy tories.' That's what happens when you try and shame people rather than having an honest debate. Though that has gone now so how do labour progress. The Blairites are crowing as well they should because even after taking part in some dodgy wars they still managed to get elected.
I would normally have nothing to do the the Guardian but in this case it is a lefty paper.

David Miliband would have got them more votes but you know, unions and all that. Would he have appealed to the more 'aspiration and the wealth creators.'
Burnham and Kendall both seen to be the front runners which just makes getting rid of Ed Miliband look like a bad idea?
Off topic: Why do the minority party in a coalition always get hammered in the next election, maybe some of the newly gay Irish members of ratz can explain this.
What now for the Labour party?

Re: What now for the Labour party?
Blair was definitely good at selling the message, and offering the right message.
There's no doubt about that.
But the Tories made it easy for him. They put up some shit leaders in his time as leader. A lot of people forget that.
The Tories learnt that lesson eventually. Labour forgot it straight away.
They need to get the message, or they stand no chance of winning next time.
Pick someone who comes across as normal, and hope that they are up against George Osborne.
If I was advising the next Labour leader, I would make him study Nigel Farrage, day and night, until they could come across like him in front of a camera.

While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Blair utilised The Labour Party as a vehicle for leadership. Unless another charismatic leader rises Labour will behave exactly like the headless chicken it is in the modern world. Devil and deep blue...

What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

What gets me is the "we lost so lets move even more to the left." It is not like they have intellectuals like Micheal Foot (who couldn't even get elected) any more. Even in the interim they have the feminist cunt Harriet Harman who lost a sexual discrimination case in the EU, lol.
