Everything Took Off
Hell of a racket from the local Airforce base. Seemed like they wanted to get all the AWACs and things up in the air as quick as they could. Hopefully it was a drill, not the sort of thing that usually happens though.
What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

Happens in Australia too. All of a sudden the air around us is lousy with low flying military aircraft and salvoes of cannon fire not 40 kilometres from where I live. We don't need to be told it's just practice. Lucky us. We just know.

Pyongyang is too close to Seoul for the Kim to nuke his own backyard, or he's obviously crazy enough that he ought to be removed by his own generals

I drove to a funeral yesterday in Pinner, and there were an amazing number of planes circling Brize Norton RAF. Taking off, landing, coming and going. Usually, nothing, or just a lone flight.
Something has stirred them up.
Maybe it's a response to the Russians mobilising and sending jets up and down the Ukraine border.
Not a good sign.

I don't live very near anything of military or governmental significance, so I think I'd be a survivor, assuming that their aim is reasonably worth shit. Which isn't guaranteed. But still, I sleep well enough at night. Better than when I lived in Seoul.
