UPDATES 5:40 a.m. with death toll at 89
JOPLIN, Mo. • A massive tornado that ripped through the heart of Joplin Sunday evening killed at least 89 people, emergency officials said at a predawn news conference.
City manager Mark Rohr announced the number at a pre-dawn news conference outside the wreckage of a hospital that took a direct hit from Sunday's storm.
Rohr said the twister cut a path nearly six miles long and more than a half-mile wide through the center of town.

We stayed in Joplin after fleeing New Mexico back in 2010. I wonder if the Microtel and Fazzoli's are still there.

CNN says they found x-rays from the hospital over 70 miles away.

It's almost as if they'd just legalized gay marriage or something. :dunno:

That's god's new covenant with Joplin. He's like, now that I got rid of all the buttfuckers and genital-lickers, we're cool.

Tornado claims it's not guilty. Claims it was iframed.

Isn't it a bit early for Tornadoes? :ask:

Nope, location. We can have tornadoes here any time of the year, since at least 1713 AD.
