looking at porn - fine in moderation say 66% of men and 50% of women.

BBC report

57% of men said it made them more interested in sex with their partners.

Sixty-one per cent [of Men looking at porn for at least 10 hours a week] agreed it could make you less interested in sex with a partner.

There you go. The shock news is that porn is OK in moderation.

(Yes, the poll is a joke. Not sure about the survey though.)

Considering the entire point of porn is to make you more interested in sex I find that the whole question is kind of meaningless. Yes I look at porn to give me tips on plumbing, me I look at it because I want to find out what turns people on, and the articles are always so fascinating.

I am not in the slightest worried about anything I look at. I have not a shred of a single moral qualm about people who want to display themselves for money, and I have no baggage in or out of relationships that I am aware of. If anything it probably spices up my sex life or has in the past. Like all these things, some people are going to let there moral qualms and upbringing get in the way of what is a basic and natural need, and some people aren't going to give a damn. If there's exploitation or any sort of illegality about it I'm all in favour of regulating the industry, or its own self regulation.

We are lucky to have it. What did people do for porn before there was video, or photos, or painting?
Aha, but maybe they didn't need it, because nobody wore clothes!!
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Having managed an adult store in the past, the most surprising thing to me is the number of women who approve. They sure didn't come to my store in such a proportion.

I've tried to watch porn...maybe I'm just not watching the "right" porn because seriously...it doesn't do a thing for me. :shifty:

I do like erotic photography though.

Watching porn is a "mindset" thing for me now - I mostly look at it to get ideas for scene composition these days. I've really got to want to be stimulated before it will do anything for me - for myself, anyway. However when sharing links with a partner, porn that I wouldn't normally look at can be a major stimulant, just knowing it works for them and how they'd react to it.

Instead of wasting time on silly stuff like Religious Education (now THERE's an oxymoron if I ever heard one!) Public school should have mandatory porn films.
Since we receive education and information on every other human activity, there's no reason to send our children on the path of life as awkward, embarrassed amateurs when it comes to love making. A little education could drastically cut the divorce rate.
Priests would no doubt be best to place in charge of the porn program, since sex is their favourite topic anyway.
Many old folks, faced with diminishing sex drives, wonder how to dispose of their porn stash. What better use than to donate it to the school library, keeping it out of the landfill.
