Protect the Chil'run!

Post by Coito ergo sum » Wed Apr 20, 2011 12:03 pm

Day camp games like tag, wiffle ball, Red Rover and kickball are no longer at risk in New York after state health officials yanked a proposal that threatened the future of those mainstays of child's play.

What are they doing??? Don't they want to protect our chil'run? Kids can get hurt kicking rubber balls and swinging plastic bats!???!!? Running around and touching bases is a significant source of twisted knees! If a chil' falls, he or she might get a scratch!

...and the competition...don't get me started on the competition...the whole idea of keeping score in a game is a throwback to the days of winners and losers. There are no winners and losers in kickball and wiffle ball - there are only different, but equally dignified, outcomes...

NY is shirking its responsibility to regulate each and every aspect of human social interaction in our complex modern society. For shame.

Exactly! Time to return to the childhood Utopia that existed when the "wealthbuilders" controlled society, and ensured children had a proper upbringing!

LOL - because, allowing children to play kickball and wiffle-ball is the same as making them work in coal mines.

Fuckin A! Keeps the little fuckers off the streets and teaches them the value of a dollar. Ever get stuck behind one of those namby-pamby school buses? Have to stop every couple of blocks and wait? What's the matter, little pussies can't walk a few miles? Don't know how to look both ways before crossing the street? What next? We gonna start feeding the little shits free lunches?

Boo Hoo. We're not doing them any favors coddling them. When I was a kid we walked to school 5 miles in the Florida blizzards uphill both ways fighting off the wolves and gators and then worked 20 hour in the mines before coming home where dad beat us and fed us gravel.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

They let you leave school? You weren't chained in the basement? I think I see where good ol' 'merka started its downward slide. :nono:
