You have to admit, those articulate speeches are such a welcome change from the Bush buffoonery.
But, are those chicken in every pot, roof over every head, job for every family oratories just fantasies to lure the votes of the dupes? Obama shares the lifestyle of the millionaire's club in the House and the Senate, who get their jollies by fooling the stupid masses time and again.
All those eloquent promises, but when it comes down to the crunch, it's business as usual -bonuses for the banksters and foreclosures for their victims.

I followed their names with question marks because I wouldn't say for sure that they aren't crooked, lying etc. politicians.

It's just my general impression as how they comport themselves as politicians, some of the speeches they have given on the floor of Congress, and the stances they take and don't back down from.

I'm not saying that I agree with 100% of everything they stand for, but nothing I've found out about them makes them look like the stereotypical douchebags that I usually associate with people who have such strong political ambitions. Thanks for damping my cynicism a bit. There may be a few good eggs out there, after all.

There are others. They're a definite minority.

In short, yes. Obama is a puppet, same as every other politician.

He's lost my trust and support with the Libyan war among other things. His policies aren't great, I don't think he reflects my views as a progressive. I think he's more right-wing than not and is pandering to the impossible to please Republican/ Teaparty/ Independant base in hopes of being re-elected and THEN delivering on some of the promises he made to the people who put him there in the first place - and it isn't going to happen. I learnt very quickly that to hope in either a Democrat or Republican is a lost cause from the start. They will vote with their party 90% of the time and ignore the people they represent for their own selfish public image. Plenty of this is do to the fact our Congress is half-full of millionaires - puppets of lobbyists and the elite ruling class - and they're in the White House, too.
