USA Fails to Overthrow a Foreign Govt!

Post by Clinton Huxley » Mon Mar 21, 2011 12:03 pm

The global media was abuzz with rumours this morning that, for the first day since 1776, the USA had failed to overthrow a single foreign government. The White House has been tight-lipped, with President Obama restricting himself to a terse "No comment".
However, sources at the UN confirmed to the Times that all of yesterdays Heads of Govt / State appeared to still be in place today.
Sarah Palin lambasted the President's weakness, telling an audience of Indian business leaders that "We ain't even overthrown the government of Luxembourgistan today. Obama is no Momma bear, he's a gay communist and not even American!"

Latest: President Obama to address the nation tonight on this shocking turn of events. Stock market jitters send price of oil up, then down, then up a bit more, then it levelled off while the stock market had its lunch, then it just sort of wibbled around a bit.

Etc etc etc.
It's a rum do!

I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled"

I blame Rum as well.
“I wish no harm to any human being, but I, as one man, am going to exercise my freedom of speech. No human being on the face of the earth, no government is going to take from me my right to speak, my right to protest against wrong, my right to do everything that is for the benefit of mankind. I am not here, then, as the accused; I am here as the accuser of capitalism dripping with blood from head to foot.”

John Maclean (Scottish socialist) speech from the Dock 1918.

I thought we had Trinidad y Tobago backed into a corner. Who dropped the ball? :nono:

Abolishing slavery, giving women the vote, allowing foreigners to govern themselves willy nilly - is there no end to this insanity?
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

We didn't have the heart to tell you, pen. They're allowed to get jobs outside the home now too, and I've heard that some men are actually reduced to cooking their own dinners.

It's a truly dismal state of affairs.

I should bloody well hope not! It's not as if they enjoy it, you know. I tell Mrs. Lak to lie back and think of England. That usually helps.

I blame the evil communists.
Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.
