I'm assuming they paid people off to get this approved? And of course, he starts off with the whole "religion of peace" bullshit.

Which would explain why there's a building site in the first place, of course...anna09 wrote:I'm assuming they paid people off to get this approved? And of course, he starts off with the whole "religion of peace" bullshit.

I would have thought that a pair of Sequoia's, planted on the day (in a plant nursary, obviously) would have been the most fitting tribute.

Re: 9/11 Tribute Building
The Mosque has nothing to do with a tribute and it's not on ground zero, it's near it.
I still don't think it's appropriate though.

Re: 9/11 Tribute Building
The thread title is completely misleading, as is the text in the OP, I fail to see how builing a mosque near the site of the World Trade Center is a "celebration" of anything.

It may not be appropriate but it should stop the mad buggers flying any more planes into it.
At least I'm housebroken.

That has not been revealed, at this time. :-| I expect it is Saudi money, however.Martok wrote:Yeah, who is funding this thing? Saudi Arabia?

Nope. A Muslim killed as collateral damage would be considered a martyr and they and their family would go to paradise. A win-win scenario from the terrorists point of view.owtth wrote:It may not be appropriate but it should stop the mad buggers flying any more planes into it.

But isn't blowing up a mosque something of a faux pas? They'll be shunned at the more high-society stonings.CJ wrote:Nope.
