To celebrate the 10th anniversary they are BUILDING A 13 STOREY FUCKING MOSQUE.

I would have thought that a pair of Sequoia's, planted on the day (in a plant nursary, obviously) would have been the most fitting tribute.

The Mosque has nothing to do with a tribute and it's not on ground zero, it's near it.

I still don't think it's appropriate though.

The thread title is completely misleading, as is the text in the OP, I fail to see how builing a mosque near the site of the World Trade Center is a "celebration" of anything.
