Downfall satire videos pulled from the internet. WTF?!?

Apparently the studio that produced Downfall (Constantin Film) has spat the dummy:

But amusingly:
Unsurprisingly, there have since been several parody clips on the downfall of Downfall circulating the internet.
Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.

The funny thing is... how many people only know about the film because of these parodies? I'd never heard of it, yet I bought a copy because of the free advertising they got off the back of the clips.

Sorry, but that dog won't hunt. People have been using it since they first found out you can put centerfolds on the net. "Hey, Playboy gets free adverts!" It's not an acceptable defense anymore.

Two years is what gets me, what is the motivation? And trying to take down anything off the internet so publically is just going to see it spread like wildfire.
