BNP membership rules still discriminatory...

How come the BNP is forced to allow people they don't want to become members while The Women's Institute isn't?

Why are men not allowed to join the WI?

The WI is a women’s institution because it began as such before women has the vote. Their men had jobs, clubs and pubs; the women had nowhere to meet, talk or help each other.

The women of the WI have husbands, lovers, children; they discuss their work with male as well as female experts; they welcome men as guests to their meetings and as partners in their entertainment.

There is no comparable men’s organisation and no other women’s organisation approaching WI membership.
The BNP are a shower of cunts, but aren't double standards at work here?

This is actually a bear-bug of mine, not in terms of the BNP, but just generally. Men-only golf clubs (say) are lambasted for being discriminatory or worse, yet at the same time it's possible to have clubs and associations where membership is explicitly delineated on the grounds of age, gender, belief, race, occupation ... and hardly anyone bats an eyelid. :coffee:
