nurse staff squeeze works with has had Covid 3 times 😱

The govs seem to think all clear ahead and this counters the general trend to milder versions ....need to watch Denmark closely for death counts but this thing has to spread very quickly as BA1 offers no natural immunity and wide open no restrictions for socializing....we are hauling out the N95 masks for trips out.

Reality check 70,000 a week dying of covid.

Having today off sick, so i went and got another PCR test. If this one comes back negative, that will be three, and I'll finally believe I don't have the 'rona.

It looks like we had a concurrent virus outbreak. Daughter had covid, and three others in our household had symptoms but tested negative. So we must have two viruses operating at the same time.

There Is Nothing Normal about One Million People Dead from COVID
Mass media and policy makers are pushing for a return to pre-COVID times while trying to normalize a staggering death toll

The Coronavirus Outbreak,
Sometime in the next few weeks, the official death toll for the two-year COVID pandemic in the U.S. will reach one million. Despite being the wealthiest nation on the planet, the U.S. has continued to have the most COVID infections and deaths per country, by far, and it has the highest per capita death rate of any wealthy nation.
This is an unfathomable number of people dead, yet, mass media are downplaying it. This is despite an empathetic New York Times headline in May 2020 of “U.S. Deaths Near 100,000, an Incalculable Loss,” and using its entire front page to print names of some of the deceased. As Luppe B. Luppen noted on Twitter, the newspaper’s more recent headline was the cruel and callous “900,000 Dead, but Many Americans Move On.”

So on my third test I tested positive. Not feeling too bad. Just a bit congested and a cough.

This is garbage.

However I agree it is a zing. It's much more than that. Our performance during the pandemic is humiliating. It strips away the veneer and exposes all the rot.

Argue with the author. Clearly his editors think it valid as do I.

And that is a rather vague claim...."our performance......."????

sounds a bit COTU wherever that might be. :coffee:

There's nothing wrong with being vague. Do you think response would have been more specific? Use that then.

Just like in school, keep testing until you get a positive result.... :funny:

My nephew the surgeon has had it 3 times, and has been vaxxed and boosted.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
