Say, after yesterday's kerfuffle, I've heard people suggesting invoking amendment 25.
But to the best of my knowledge, that amendment comes into play, only if the prez dies in office, or voluntarily relinquishes office, on a temporary or permanent manner.

Given that rump could be charged with sedition and treason, what are the provisions for getting rid of a president who is manifestly incapable of discharging his duties, or unworthy of the office?

The 25th relates to whether he is "unfit" for office. He's always been unfit for office due to his intense narcissism, so kind of a bit late in the day.

Actually, I think that it should just be that we let his presidency slide into oblivion. It's not worth the angst of impeachment or the 25th in this last 2 weeks.

Let it be all about Biden and Harris...

Then, after a small but decent interval, let there be an avalanche of lawsuits and criminal charges! :Jack:

Removing him will really inflame his supporters. I know we shouldn't care how stupid people react, but in this case the downsides are really significant.

I've not seen anything about procedures permitting to declare an active president unfit, and to unseat him on short notice in favor of the veep, though.

It's the only reason Trump has been reluctant to 'declassify everything'.

See, he would surely take down the whole deep state if he did, but the trouble is, part of the declas would be revealing his real history with Urina and Pssta, the two Russian Shlyukhi dancers who made piss fountain with him.

So he doesn't need to be impeached. He'll keep mum. Doesn't want Melania to know he was fucking around with the twins.

Meh. Melania will go for a divorce once the court cases start.

Just take way his adderall, and put some xanax in his fast food.
Then have some aides coming in with fake executive orders for him to sign.

Fake? No. Real executive orders for him to sign. Single payer national health scheme, here we come. In the dying days of his presidency Trump will become the Hero of the People! Statues of his likeness will be erected from Miami to Anchorage. From New york to Los Angeles. And they will be prevented from being toppled by Anteeeefaaaahhh!

Meanwhile, in deepest Eswatini...
