Re: The Donald-thread
Trump Foundation under investigation for suspected 'impropriety'New York's attorney general says he is investigating Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's foundation over suspected "impropriety".
Eric Schneiderman said his office wanted to ensure the foundation is "complying with the laws that govern charities in New York".
The Trump Foundation has been hit by a number of damaging media stories.
Mr Trump's team have dismissed Mr Schneiderman, a Democrat, as "a partisan hack."
The attorney-general has endorsed Mr Trump's chief opponent, Hillary Clinton, for president.
Mr Trump's campaign spokesman Jason Miller said Mr Schneiderman had "turned a blind eye to the Clinton Foundation for years", and called the inquiry "another left-wing hit job designed to distract from Crooked Hillary Clinton's disastrous week".

This should be good for a laugh.Donald Trump backs out of Dr. Oz stunt at last minute and will not disclose results of his physical.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has reportedly had second thoughts about disclosing results of his medical examination when he appears Wednesday on The Dr. Oz Show.
On Tuesday, Fox News host Brian Kilmeade reported that Trump would provide the results of his physical to Dr. Mehmet Oz, who would reveal the information on air.
But hours before the show taped on Wednesday, campaign spokesperson Hope Hicks told CNN’s Brian Stelter that Trump’s plans had changed.
“Instead, Trump will be talking with Oz about his physical activity, dietary habits, and broader health-related issues,” Stelter wrote. “The plan also calls for Trump to discuss political topics that are of interest to the ‘Dr. Oz Show’ audience, like efforts to fight the Zika virus and Trump’s new child care policies.”

That was a security issue. She was stopped by the handlers as you can see. They may have whispered something. As soon as the security issue was cleared, she continued talking. What is the problem?

Re: The Donald-thread
Maybe More Prominent Republicans Should Go Public with How They Feel About Trump
The big scuttlebutt out of Washington today is that a few of Colin Powell's private emails were obtained through unclear means, and published. In them, the former Secretary of State lights into Donald Trump, calling the presidential candidate a "disgrace" and an "international pariah" whose witch hunt for President Obama's birth certificate was unequivocally "racist." Mmmhmm.
From the correspondences, via BuzzFeed News:
“Yup, the whole birther movement was racist,” Powell wrote. “That’s what the 99% believe. When Trump couldn’t keep that up he said he also wanted to see if the certificate noted that he was a Muslim.”
Powell told BuzzFeed News, “I have no further comment. I’m not denying it.”
“As I have said before, ‘What if he was?’ Muslims are born as Americans everyday,” Powell wrote to his former aide.
The leaks come in the wake of a separate report in which a number of anonymous Republican operatives were "terrified" at the prospect of a Trump presidency. And really, who could blame them? Trump is historically unqualified to be president, yet here we are.
So—bear with me now—here's a maybe silly idea: Why don't more prominent Republicans averse to a Trump-led America—and there are quite a few out there—I don't know, say something publicly instead of grumbling to their peers in emails? Just a thought.

It's embarrassing the level of straw-grasping that is going on from the right wing. She froze during an unidentified threat.
