There is talk above as if Trump and this new racism is some kind of era. Yet we were in a liberal era just a year ago. It's too easy to call phenomena like Trump an era, after living in it a year. As far as politics go, it is the same as always. It's a pendulum backa and forth, in movements of 4-6 years. Rarely does a president enjoy a full 8 years of his era.

Trump’s random, splenetic threats of unlimited military action against North Korea and now, bizarrely, against Venezuela, have exacerbated an already dangerous situation in east Asia. They have raised the real prospect of war, either by design or miscalculation.

Meh, nobody is "suppressing" climate information. It's mouse-clicks away at any time. And, one is well to view with suspect any political position that involves finger pointing to the effect of "infidel!" And, intimations of "guilt" and "culpability" for holding a different view, or having a different understanding of the facts. It's a political position advanced with the force of religious fervor. Very dangerous. And, rarely true.
