Trump brought Bill Clinton rape victims to 2016 debate. Now the repeat:

President Trump plans to bring Hunter Biden associate Tony Bobulinski as guest to debate

Meh. He's grandstanding for his base. He's not going to be swinging any voters his way with shit like that. In the absence of any meaningful substance his only recourse is to the hollow rhetoric of affectation.

--whew, we got through that, and while Trump performed better he still managed to show his true nature eg saying "good" in response to children being separated from their parents.

Apparently he may have said "go ahead" rather than "good". I heard good, but it's hardly worth arguing over.

I'm mostly happy it's over and I doubt Trump's performance will result in a huge boost, and Biden did well enough. He did call the proud boys the poor boys, that's a sandwich grandpa!

I wouldn't credit Trump with a better performance in this debate. The straitjacket imposed by the debate commission (muting microphones) meant that his lack of discipline and self-control wasn't on display quite so prominently. I thought that his actual responses were just as duplicitous and incoherent as last time. He still managed plenty of mendacious interjections though they weren't nearly as disruptive, for which I credit the moderator.

I thought Biden did a tolerable job, which is about all that can be expected of him--he's never been particularly good with the sharp elbow, so I can't claim to be disappointed. It was an outstanding, amazing, even miraculous debate performance for a man on death's door, debilitated by senile dementia. He must have had an invisible earpiece and been hopped up on drugs. :teef:

The cult in a nutshell (video at link):
Barack Obama: "[Trump] hasn't shown any interest in doing the work"

Ainsley Earhardt [middle member of the Fox and Friends idiot sandwich]: "People who work in the White House would argue against that. They would say he does work. He works 24/7. He held nine rallies in the past eight days."

I watched the first half hour of the debate. Biden had problems multiple times when he seemed to have lost his train of thought and was speaking erratically. Not a good impression. But I hope they'll still vote out the Trumpeltier.

I played the Leslie Stahl scrapped interview. Trump really can't see things ahead, in fact not past Nov 3. When Leslie said people with pre-existing conditions will lose coverage, Trump failed to take advantage of the phasing out thing Joe always relies on. Trump merely should say that he will carry Obamacare to 2022 and get his "really good plan" approved in two years, then replacing Obamacare. I think all he would get passed is the repeal and then pass a law that all insurance companues have to cover all and raise the rates for all so that pre-existing conditions do not affect your rate. All rates would double then. But Leslie would have to point that out.
