Racism is culture based in my opinion. People tend to racist based on their culture and that is from every side. Blacks born into a culture of hating whites have difficulty to change and the opposite is true. As individuals colour does not matter but when it is a culture group it can play a large part.

Racism is certainly moulded by culture.
As humans, we have basic instincts, culture, and our own intellect, and all three influence what we do.
There's no doubt that culture and your own intellect can override the basic instinct.

As in the case of homosexuality, which in years gone by, and even today was often overridden so that people hid their sexuality and often married partners of the opposite sex and lived their whole lives without ever telling anyone that they were gay.

Did that make them not gay? Not really. They were fundamentally gay, but in denial to the world. Often to themselves.
And it's the same with you and racism. Maybe it's a good thing. Depending on how you define good.

What might be part of our genetics is a trend to be hostile to other than our home group. That can for example also be seen in chimps. But how we decide who is part of our group or an enemy is completely a social process.

200 000 years ago, the enemy group was made up from people you shared the same grand grand parents with and who split from your group 50 years ago over a philosophical disagreement over whether raping women during mealtime is socially acceptable.

I think the group dynamics in the Walking Dead are a very realistic and good representation of these processes.

Why should adopted kids experience problems? I don't get your reasoning there.
Also, I'm not saying gays are racist or not. Just that they are born gay. I'm saying that we are born with racist tendencies, and they are then moulded by the indoctrination we get from the culture we grow up in.
And on top of that is our ability to reason.

I see a stunning teenage girl staggering home pissed and alone late at night. My instincts tell me to drag her in the bushes and rape her. My upbringing tells me that it's forbidden, and I would be disowned and imprisoned if I did. And my intellect tells me that I wouldn't want to cause her all that grief and pain just for a few moments of gratification.
But actually, my intellect has been moulded too over the years. The way I think has been created by the culture I live in, as well as the brain itself. But I don't mind that. I don't have any choice anyway.

Maybe that's where psychopaths differ from the rest of us. They might have an extra ability, to shake off the chains of guilt that their upbringing tries to apply, and just do whatever appeals to them.

Your examples are fallacious. A murderer is someone who HAS murdered. A cannibal is someone who HAS eaten human flesh. It's a totally different case.
Harbouring murderous feelings doesn't make you a murderer, and similarly a cannibal. But harbouring racist feelings does make you a racist.

I've not said that everyone has done racist things. Just that they are racist. Like I said in my first post :

I think being gay is a choice. Also, I think being gay is not a choice. It is because there are two distinct meanings here, which you highlighted.

Now, if you could picture an old man, who is ready to die at a ripe old age. Picture him having gay feelings, but NEVER acting on them. His whole life, he diligently avoided any behaviour which would make him gay, and he marries, raises a family and loves them well, creating a group of well-adjusted grandkids.

Would you call him gay? After all that hard work to fit in, and avoid the shit life which being gay has as it's 'reward'...doesn't he deserve the respect of not being called gay?

Labeling other people isn't smart. It's much more useful to let folks label themselves.
