I think one of the problems I'm having with all this is the beliefs some of us on the left have about ourselves e.g. that we understand immigration, hell many of us can't even talk about it because we're afraid, or that we've got our finger on the pulse of world affairs and know the best course of action regarding foreign policy -what a fucking joke, we bombed the shit out of people during the Obama administration too ya self-righteous dumb asses, and on and on it goes e.g. everyone else is racist but me, why do they hate the poor, I love'em so long as they ain't stupid. You sound like 42. Trump has nothing to do with Democrats, Obama, or Clinton. So why mention it?

And it most definitely is about left vs right. Most of us here think the Democracts, and that includes Obama, are right wingers.

Cause I'm talking about what the left/Democrats in this country believe about themselves, and so how we vote and who we have supported is relevant. Maybe it's not fair to make assumptions about what we believe about ourselves based on what we keep saying about the other guys, but it seems natural to me.

And even if there were Dem supporters here, there's a fucking big difference between Trump/Repubs and the Democrats. The Dems are your standard centre-right party. The repubs and Trump are out on the utter whackjob extreme. And while it's true we've all become a bit numb to the lying and deception and fraud in general from all in politics, you can't seriously argue that Trump hasn't taken it to a whole new level.

Anyway, I'm not necessarily addressing any of you guys directly, and I'm far from having what I'm trying to get at all figured out yet.

As you can see from my blog post I reckon the enemy is neoliberalism and the professional political elite class. And basically the media enable all this. I don't know what the solution is to a totally broken media. It's tempting to say shut em down (if that was even possible), but censorship is never going to be the answer. I guess the internet is the only real avenue to bypass the elite media and their interests. That's why I focus on online activism and get a bit shirty when people accuse people like me of being keyboard warriors. I think those people don't understand that the freedom of the internet (which the government is increasingly trying to crack down on) is the biggest weapon against elite established interests.
