American Politics from 2019 on
Re: American Politics from 2019 on
No idea. I only ever had a cheap underdash CB for traveling. I don't know what's possible with a stationary base and a good antenna.

No, that expertise came from seeing how tolerant democrats are toward those who vote wrong. The Tennessee chap didn't mention politics.L'Emmerdeur wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:14 pmYeah, talk on the radio with some fellow in Tennessee and suddenly you're an expert on the history and development of American government. Well done.
Oh, I'm no expert on it, but what used to be called 'skip conditions' can be exploited to extend the range unreasonably (and unreliably)Joe wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 9:43 pmGiven that's at least 2500 miles from Yellowknife, Cunt might be an expert on the CB radio. I never raised anybody further than 25 miles from me. The only person I talked to in eastern Tennessee was a trucker who sounded like Boomhaur from King of the Hill and helped me get around traffic near Dollywood.![]()
I highly recommend getting into radio a bit. We all use it daily. Most young folk don't know anything about it.
With my stationary antenna (home-made from salvaged parts) I can hear all that, but the radio is a bit different too. Regular AM cb's had channels up to 40. Then there is 'SSB', which is called side-band, and works a bit different. The sideband stuff is what has more of the 'skip', or Dx working.
You can just log in (via kiwisdr.com ) to antennas anywhere, and listen to whatever you want though. If you just want to play without soldering or wiring.

I barely know the classifications, but I don't think so. It's 10m or 11m waves. Around 27MHz or so

Well, if you're such an expert on American politics, how come you don't know the truth about the pee pee tape? Or more seriously, how US states settle disputes between them?Cunt wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 10:29 pmNo, that expertise came from seeing how tolerant democrats are toward those who vote wrong. C'mon man, don't hold out on us. We've been waiting for YEARS to finally see it.
Sometimes. For instance, they acted to get the feds (SCOTUS) to enshrine abortion, no matter what individual states wanted.Or more seriously, how US states settle disputes between them?
When that failed / was reversed, they were totally reasonable about it. All moderation and nuanced discussion with those who disagreed with them. Or something.

27.385 is also channel 38 LSB (lower side band), and was what I was remembering. You sound like you could have fun with it, but the way you go deep on things, you might want to jump straight to HAMTero wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 12:59 am27MHz lets you talk to this

Who's holding out? I posted a link here over two years ago. Marco Rubio's Senate Intelligence Committe report pointed me at it.Cunt wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 1:51 amYou have a copy!?!?!Joe wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 12:09 amWell, if you're such an expert on American politics, how come you don't know the truth about the pee pee tape?Cunt wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 10:29 pmNo, that expertise came from seeing how tolerant democrats are toward those who vote wrong. I saw an analysis of it that suggested it could have been the actual room Trump stayed in. The lighting and furniture layout were the same or very close, but they made a mistake that made it clear it was fake. The room matches the current Presidential Suite in the Ritz, but that room was remodelled in 2015. Trump was there in 2013, and it was very different then.
Someone spent some money if it was actually the Presidential Suite at the Moscoe Ritz. That's reported to be $18,000 a night. Of course, if you inconvenience Trump enough that he pays you to make it go away, that's probably a good investment.
Funny thing, Trump and Christopher Steele both heard there was a tape, but neither was told it was fake.

Had a lecture by a journalist on elections. He gets to interview people and give talks. Some people have concerns about election security. You answer them. Others will never change their mind. "Those people just exhaust you with whataboutism."
