You sir have no palate if you can't make the difference between tasteless vodka and aromatic, if harsh; silver tequila.
añejo and reposado are not white spirits anymore, they have been aged and fall under brown spirits, like whiskey or aged rum.

I'm not talking about brown spirits. I'm talking about white spirits. Can't say I've been cognisant of the quality (or lack thereof) of any white spirits I've drunk in the past. Most of it was in my uni days where getting drunk quickly was the goal, not savouring aromatics. The only white spirit I drink these days is gin, and that's in G&T's. Basically alcoholic lemonade. What's not to like? :awesome:

White spirits are the most privileged of spirits. Spirits of color have been marginalized for far too long. If you drink anything and it's not a spirit of color, then you're a spiritist.

De-colonize your drinking habits.

The nicest and foulest spirit I ever tasted were both Irish Poteen.
The first was sublime, absolutely yummy. Years later I tasted another bottle, from a different source, and it was like horse piss. (I'm guessing).

Tequila is nice. I would buy it, if it was as cheap as cheap Scotch. I'm not fussy enough to buy anything but the cheapest on the shelf. Hard to tell the difference, and a label means nothing to me.

The strongest stuff I ever drank was the second distillation of Scotch Whisky. It was recommended to drink it with a bed behind you. Totally illegal but the bed was required.

I only use white spirit for thinning paint...

It dissolves your teeth. I had that in west Ireland. It was hairy but did require a bed.

I can understand that... poteen requires moderation more than any alcoholic drink I know, even before vodka
