States can declare trans treatments to be illegal. Feds rule.
Tennessee trans law is constitutional and necessary. The left can’t handle the truth

Foxnews says trans kids are mentally ill and must be protected.

Chatted with a guy over the CB who is in East Tennessee. He sounded nice.
States should be able to do a lot more. It isn't supposed to be a federal democracy, but a republic of independent states. So people who want kids protected can decide which perspective is their kind of protection.
Of course, the democratic party prefers the feds to force their views on everyone, rather than letting individual states vote for the wrong things, so this will irritate some.

Man, go on in that direction and you'll start wondering why people are not keeping to tried and true stone age technology.

Yes, and some of the states would have gotten it right.
But to get it all wrong, you need all of them in lockstep.
It's why I don't favour global government. They get very little right, but everything they fuck up, EVERYBODY experiences.

I was given a year of free milkshakes once. The year passed and I hadn’t bothered to get even one.

Nothing is, but those who favour full fed control generally out themselves by ranting about 'our democracy' but never mentioning 'our republic'.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 3:04 pmIt’s not so simple.Cunt wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 1:38 pmChatted with a guy over the CB who is in East Tennessee. With two states that disagree, they need to get along, in a republic. In the democracy version, the larger state wins.
Democracy is often lovely, but there is also that old saw about 5 wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner. I prefer to highlight that problem by the joke: 'gang rape is not a place for a democratic vote'.

Like Sean said, it's not that simple. I suppose you could say the US is a democracy in the same way that Canada is a democracy, and humans and chimpanzees are hominids.Cunt wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 4:17 pmNothing is, but those who favour full fed control generally out themselves by ranting about 'our democracy' but never mentioning 'our republic'.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 3:04 pmIt’s not so simple.Cunt wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 1:38 pmChatted with a guy over the CB who is in East Tennessee. However, your paraphrasing of Benjamin Franklin's "wolves and a sheep" observation refers to the 18th century meaning of democracy, which is the direct democracy of the ancient Greek city states. The meaning has changed as much over time as the relationship of the states, which were sovereign polities prior to the adoption of the Constitution, has to the Federal government to which they ceded some of their sovereignty to form "a more perfect Union."
Put simply, it's a mess.

It's not simple at all, but if you don't vote in favour of the policies of the UN, you will be accused of voting against democracy.

I'm curious to know which policies of the UN you're currently not in favour of? What about binding international treaties not brokered through the UN? How do you feel about the Basel Convention, or the Chicago Convention, for example? Would not being in favour of these mark you out as an an enemy of democracy too?

Until they allow Matthew Russel Lee back in to ask his questions, I'm going to judge them in absentia.Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 6:09 pmI'm curious to know which policies of the UN you're currently not in favour of? Yeah, talk on the radio with some fellow in Tennessee and suddenly you're an expert on the history and development of American government. Well done.

Given that's at least 2500 miles from Yellowknife, Cunt might be an expert on the CB radio. I never raised anybody further than 25 miles from me. The only person I talked to in eastern Tennessee was a trucker who sounded like Boomhaur from King of the Hill and helped me get around traffic near Dollywood.L'Emmerdeur wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 8:14 pmYeah, talk on the radio with some fellow in Tennessee and suddenly you're an expert on the history and development of American government.
