Comey testified that the Attorney General asked him to call the scandal investigation a "matter" and not an "investigation."
“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

No collusion http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/chris ... le/2625372 "Comey said that he never felt that Trump had tried to impede the FBI's investigation into Russia, even that the president had encouraged it and he suggested that former national security adviser Mike Flynn wasn't at the heart of the investigation.....Comey also asserted that he had told Trump that he was not personally under any investigation and that the president had encouraged the Russia investigation, even if it implicated any of his associates."

I was at one of our fishing lakes. Mr Libertarian (man in 40s) was out fishing, claimed he has neurological problems so he could not work. And he was a writer. He voted for Trump because the planet is becoming too small to be an individual. He feared socialism and was anxious for the US to fall apart into fragments. He had a lot to say about Obama. He expected Obama to stand out for all groups, including libertarians and resist...something. It was a convoluted argument so I can't remember all. He wasn't stupid, he made some good arguments.

Re: We need to talk about Donald – the Nightmare continues
The direct participation of the president in any operation by a foreign power to undermine US democracy remains an open matter as far as I can see - declaring a uneqivocal conclusion to the investigations at this point seems a little premature. Nonetheless, this is not the only issue, nor should it be taken as such, because Comey's testimony brings other issues into focus.
Comey made clear the the Trump administration lied in an attempt to smear his reputation, and the reputation of FBI, after his dismissal; that he documented his meetings with Trump because he thought the president might lie about what had taken place; that because of the smear, and the 'tapes' tweet, he felt he had no option but to pass sketchy details of the meetings with Trump to the press to represent the facts and in the hope of forcing the appointment of an idependent party to head up the ongoing investigations; that he believes that Trump directed him to shut down the FBI’s investigation of Flynn, and; that the issue for the FBI is the “massive” scope of Russia's interference in the 2016 election pricess, saying: “There should be no fuzz on this whatsoever. The Russians interfered in our election during the 2016 cycle. They did it with purpose. They did it with sophistication. They did it with overwhelming technical efforts.”
None of that removes the shadows cast over the Trump campaign or the president himself. Even if the president didn't colluded directly with a foreign power he may have been the head of an organisation which did - ignorance is an excuse that isn't available to him.

Total screw up of foreign policy:
Each of these actions make it harder for Iran to restart its large-scale enrichment program that is essential to building nuclear weapons - making the world measurably and verifiably safer.
President Trump seems to believe that a mythical better deal exists that addresses all Iranian destabilizing behaviors in the world. It doesn't. The president also seems to view these drastic decisions as bargaining tools that will induce the international community to give the U.S. exactly what it wants. They are not. Rather, his "America First" policy is an isolationist fantasy that will lead to an America that is alone and behind.

Trump was not under investigation by the FBI
James Comey leaked documents to the media
Loretta Lynch meddled in the Clinton investigation

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

He didn't leak a government document. Nice try, though. The Lynch thing was really interesting, though.
